What I See, & How I See It

WAITING

Broken shadows,
Fragile beings.
Restless souls
Hunting frantically.

Love’s gone missing.
Hope’s wandering.
How much longer
Can we go unseen?
How much longer
Will we keep waiting?

Beauty’s wasted,
Dreams left vacant
In homes of glass,
Keeping our distance.

Love’s gone missing.
Hope’s wandering.
How much longer
Can we go unseen?
How much longer
Will we keep waiting?

Oh what happens
When grief runs rampant?
When grace is savaged?
When faith’s abandoned?

Love’s gone missing.
Hope’s wandering.
How much longer
Can we go unseen?
How much longer
Will we keep waiting?

But imagine
If we were brave,
If in our brokenness
We could say,

Love’s right here.
Can you see?
You don’t have to keep waiting.
So don’t loose hope, dear,
You’re not alone.
You are loved more than you know.
